On 12/05, she returned to BC by helicopter. On 16/05 they started their summit push and went directly to C2. It took them about 12 hours. They stayed at C2 until 18/05 as there were not enough Sherpas for the whole team and were forced to wait. They were told that the weather was not good, but as it turned out it was due to a lack of Sherpas. Lakpa and Bozga started from C4 at 11 pm, the rest of the Elite Expedition group started at around 10 pm. Bozga had a problem with her oxygen mask. Lakpa tried to get another mask, but that did not work either and then he ended up giving her his mask and found another oxygen system for him. On the ascent, they were on their own as they had started quite late. It was very cold and windy. When they reached the summit, there were about six other people there, but left shortly after Bozga and Lakpa arrived. Bozga did her splits on the summit where they stayed for about 20 minutes. When they were just about the Hillary Step, Lakpa lost Bozga’s mobile phone which had all the photos. Lakpa had not taken a camera. The photos provided were taken by someone else, which were given to Bozga later. They descended to C4, took a rest and continued to C2 where they arrived at 9 pm. On 22/05 they descended to BC by foot. During the conversation, Bozga told me that she had found out later that Green Boots was lying on the North side. The dead body she came across was just above the Hillary Step. She was not intending to climb Everest as she went to Nepal to climb Lobuje East. However, one of the members of Elite Expeditions’ team fell sick and she took her place. She had already bought a downsuit and found her 8000m boots in Namche Bazaar. Bozga left BC on 23/05 by heli. Oxygen: Taken and used from C3 to top to C3 by Bozga and Lakpa Tenjen. -

Relatively colder than usual and windy conditions all through the summit push. Significantly delayed on the the way to the Balcony by a large Chinese group climbing very slowly. Extremely cold and windy on the summit, 60km/h+ resulted in frostbite on two fingers (index and middle finger right hand frostbitten and tips later removed). Left expedition of 17/05 from higher camp. -
