Route Notes	-	From Iwa-to-Yuki (1984) Kwande (Kongde Ri, 6187m) *The 5-man Kumamoto Pref. party of Japan, led by Shin'ya Ikuta(31), climbed by NE Ridge. BC (4300m) was made on Dec 23. C1 on 28th, C2 on Jan 4 were made. Ropes were fixed on the head wall. Yasuyuki Nishimoto (31), Kenji Fujita (33), and Yozo Yokovama (29) set out BC on 7th and bivouaced at 5800m. Leader Ikuta and Masaru Mizukami (27) regained C2 on the same day. On 8th all the five members reached the top. Descent required a bivouac at 6000m, and they returned to BC on 11th. (Sherpaless climb.)

Route Notes	-	From Czech FB: 1 Oct: Current report from the summit of eight thousand Manaslu - After a romantic night walk in the freezing frost, Manaslu let us go to the summit! Unreal views were spoiled only by a slight altitude sickness. We launched our light board Fischer Transalp from 7950 meters. Among other expeditions, Pavel, Polda and Kšandy topped today. Tomáš, Mára and Krejcus will try their luck tomorrow. Hopefully they will command the wind. Actual news from the summit of 8000 m peak Manaslu - our romantic night walk in bitter cold from C4 towards the summit was successfull! Marvelous views were partially influenced by altitude sickness. We have used our lightweight skis Fischer Transalp from the 7950 meters. Pavel, Polda and Kšandy were the other expedition members on the summit today. Tomorrow, Tomáš, Mára and Krejcus will try their luck. Hopefully, they will command the wind. 7 Oct: Krejcus, as well as the team of Honza Tráva, instead of heading for the summit on their summit day did their best to rescue two climbers who got altitude sickness in Camp 4. Thanks to their effort, one of them was saved. In the meanwhile our time on Manaslu came to its end. Now everybody is savely back to the valley and started the 4-5 day trek back to civilization. I flew back to Kathmandu with a heli. My frostbitten toes began to color a bit, but hopefully they will be fine.
