Route Notes Report from Uta Ibrahimi: Approach: Trekking to Marpha, drive to Takam, heli to Italian BC. BC 16/04 4600m C1 24/04 5400m (lower) C1 25/04 5600m (higher) C2 26/04 5800m (lower) C2 11/05 6400m (higher) C3 17/05 7200m Smt 18/05 by Ibrahimi, Lhakpa [Dorchi], Dorata, Dawa [Nurbu] at 6 am. After first rotation, Ibrahami went down to BC on 27/04. On 30/04 there was a lot of snow at BC, so they stayed down. On 09/05, they went to higher C1 and stayed there for two days. On 11/05, they went to higher C2 and stayed three nights. On 14/05, Ibrahimi and Lhakpa started their summit push and reached 6900m, but when they heard that there were no fixed ropes to the summit and the weather turned bad they returned to BC on the same day. On 16/05 the left BC at 2 am and ascended to C2 in about eight hours. On 17/05 they reached C3 and at 8 pm they started their summit push together with the Dorata from Poland and her Sherpa Dawa. The ropes were fixed until about half-way through the traverse and then they stopped. The team tied some rope together and moved on a main rope to the summit. The Sherpas were not carrying an ice axe and some of them were not even wearing crampons. They took the right colouirs. The conditions were wind-pressed snow. They stayed for about 30 minutes on the summit and descended to BC, where they arrived 8 pm. Left BC on 19/05 by helicopter to Takam, Takam to Pokhara by jeep. Oxygen: from C3 to summit to C3 by all members and Sherpas.
