Route Notes BC northwest of Yangma village ABC at just east of Yangma Kang La (Pass) High point at about 5550m approach to snowslope on south side. Went first to Kangchenjunga Pangpema BC to acclimatize and thence to Ghunsa and north to Sharphu and its six peaks to check altitudes, but climbed none of them. Then north to Yangma on 16 Oct to measure Nupchu. Left Yangma on 19 Oct to BC northwest of Yangma last 4729m on border. 21 Oct went north to climb Pabuk Kang on border also but icefall and hanging glacier presented serious obstacles and 20-22 days of constant snowfall (30 cms each day). 21 Oct went 100m above ABC and abandoned climb. Left ABC and BC on 21 Oct to Yangma where 60 cm snowfall during night of 21st. South and then west to Walungchung and northwest to Arun River and made to side trek north to border and did small shopping in Tibetan village of Chhanthang. Then south to Tumlingtar and flew to KTM on 1 Nov. Left KTM for east on 20 Sept; intended route was snowslope on Pabuk Kang south side.
