Spring 1954 season
21 expeditions, of which 7 put someone on the summit. 25 summits (21 by members, 4 by hired staff) and 5 deaths, among 144 members and 13 hired staff recorded.
Summits count member records: someone who summited twice on one expedition counts once, someone on two expeditions in the season counts twice. Claimed (unrecognised) ascents are excluded and disputed ones included, as in the database's own statistics. Hired staff are only recorded when they went above base camp.
