Route Notes BC 50m above the lake. Fixed C1 on Oct 11 by Cauchy amd two Sherpas and down to BC. On 13th all members stayed at C1 except Sherpas. On 16th six members slept at C1. On 14th three members and three Sherpas fixed C2 and stayed there. On 17th Cauchy and Sherpas attempted summit around 11:30 hours then realized shortage of ropes. Down to BC on 18th all were at BC. Snow fell whole day of 19th. Again on 20th went up to check C1 and got down to BC. 21st was sunny day and rest at BC. Second attempt on 22nd planned to reach C2 by leader and Cauchy but due to fresh snow they could reach to C1 only and returned to BC as the camp was broken. Third attempt on 24th by Cauchy and Geloen. They left BC at 23:00 hours (11 pm) reached C2 at 06:00 hours. Tried for summit together with the French who were at C2. They could reach up to 6600m only, then they gave up. - Domard had to leave BC on 14th due to dislocation of his right arm on Oct 1st on the trail to BC. - Rouys left BC on 17th happily - it was enough for him to be at BC. - Chetalle, Duperrex, Paumier & Raymond left BC on 24th to walk down to Pokhara. - Rest of the members together arrived KTM on 28th, will leave Nepal on 31st. - Marcaud will leave on Nov 7. He is waiting baggages to come. He may be staying with Lhakpa (Tip Top).
