Route Notes BC at north end of Tilicho Lake C1 at snow slope just below point where spur meets ridge C2 at junction of spur. Laot reached summit because is very strong climber but had difficulty returning to C1 because of snow and cloud. Was very windy that day, which was why Baillet and Ongel Sherpa turned back at 6920m. Technically difficult: 1st section of spur of snow-covered ice. C1 to C2 60 degrees and ice slope with 30m of 80 degrees. Last part of route again steep (50 degrees) snow-covered ice to 6800m, where is ice in difficult rocks.
