Route Notes BC southeast of Mesokanto La on moraine C1 on small plateau at bottom of NE Ridge High point at NE Ridge. 30th Dec started snowing: 3 ft of snow at C1 that night. 31st Dec 2 members who had came up with 2 other members on 29th, descended to BC while other pair waited for chance at alpine-style summit bid. Durtler and Horne camped between camps that night in storm and on 1 Jan all to BC since too much snow on mountain. 2 Jan high winds kept everyone in tent. Decided would have been at least another week before snow conditions permitted renewed climbing, but had to leave at least by 7 Jan to return home.
Accidents 2 porters got severe frostbite requiring flight from Jomsom; nothing else
