| Route Notes | BC at 20 minutes from Annapurna BC C1 near east side of glacier west of summit & east side of rock ridge High point at glacial ridge. From C1 descended next day to BC because rain began and it lasted 4 days. Searched for safe way from C1 but in glacier area many falling ice seracs. Climbed rock for ridge in glacier area to 5600m - other third small couloir but vertical step blocked way at about 5400m. Then climbed West Face of glacier's ridge, put 250m rope here. Rock bad quality, so climbed 100m of ridge but dangerously bad quality rock. Descended from about 5600m. All south side is too dangerous from avalanching and bad rock. |
