Route Notes BC at junction of Dudh Khola and Kasongtu Khola High point on NW Face [of plateau] by Taniguchi, Okada & Nakajima. Thulagi Peak Expedition of Osaka Alpine Club 2008 Spring, led by Tamotsu Ohnishi Between C1 and C2 the expedition placed a camp they called Relay Camp because of the long distance between the two camps on a difficult rock ridge and ice face. They abandoned their climb on 3 May because the terrain was difficult, and when they tried on 3 May to climb higher than 6250m, they were forced to give up the idea because 20 avalanches were falling frequently from the plateau at 6400m where they had planned to pitch C3. Their only health problem was the altitude sickness which 76-year-old Nishikawa got at about 4000m when he was trying to reach ABC in late April. He was all right when he had returned to BC.
