Route Notes We took the permit of Patrasi just to have the opportunity to go into the Kanjiroba Sanctuary, to try the small peak at 6207m and to traverse in the Chaudhabis Khola to improve a new high level route, something like Khumbu to Makalu, but in the west. We did not attempt Patrasi nor the nameless 6207m peak, because of lack of time due to porter management. From the Sanctuary Base Camp, we tried to find a easy pass to go to the Jumla side that we already climbed two years ago with Sonia Baillif. But the melting of the glacier has increased the difficulty of the access on this side; then we focused on the traverse of a high ridge to cross into the Chaudhabis Khola, the Sanctuary Ridge. But half of the way, the ridge became more tricky and corniced. We gave up, also because of lack of food and a knee pain of a member. The kitchen staff wait us on the Chaudhabis Khola side. We had to return to Sanctuary Base Camp to organize a rescue helicopter flight to Jumla. [Note: The Sanctuary Peak (6025m) is not the same as the Sanctuary Peak (6207m) added to the open peaks list by the Ministry in 2014.]
