Route Notes BC same as Koreans at foot of southwest ridge which joins South Ridge C1 on South Ridge (had traversed across from SW Ridge base) C2 on South Ridge C3 on South Ridge Biv on South Ridge where SE Ridge joins it. Between C2 and C3 very difficult. After biv made on 29th, Gardzielewski became frostbitten and necessary to evacuate him. He and Soroka were 1st summit team and 2nd summit team had to help get him down. Now supplies dwindling and final section of climb above biv needed more fixed rope for quick ascent than they had. Climbing finished.
