| Route Notes | BC 15/04 4300m (1.30 hrs 500m above Kyanjin Gompa) C1A 24/04 5300m (on SE Ridge, too far to the left) C1B 29/04 5500m (on SE Ridge, but farther to the right) C2 12/05 6000m HPt 13/05 6200m by Bielecki and Berg. On 24/04, they set up their C1 on the SE Ridge, however, it was too far to the left. On 25/04 they ascended to 5500m, but found that the ridge was too far away from the route. They packed up and descended to BC. On 29/04, they ascended again and put C1 in the right spot. They continued to 5750m in Ok weather until the afternoon precipitation moved in. On 30/04, they descended to BC and left the tent at C1. The following week was very windy. On 11/05, they returned to C1 (at the end of the couloir) and continued on the ridge on 12/05 and set up C2 on the ridge. On 13/05, they continued up the SE Ridge to 6200m. They intended to set up a C3, but there was too snowy and no visibility at all. They descended to BC the same day and abandoned the expedition. Team left BC on 15/05 and returned to Ktmdu on 17/05 by heli from Kyanjin Gompa. Oxygen: Not taken, not used. |
