Route Notes BC north of Kyanjin Gampa west side of Lirung Glacier ABC at bottom of couloir to SE Ridge. Took long approach route because of trekking group with them and had to acclimatize. Lost 4 days before Tilman's Pass with heavy rains and waiting for a guide for rest of approach route. From ABC started up couloirs which fixed completely in 3 days because very steep and a lot of snow. Fixed to ridge, followed ridge to 5700m, then stopped because not enough time left. Needed to fix 800-1000m above rope in 6 days. Climb extremely hard and would need to descend for rests and if heavy snowfall came in couloir "would have to run for our lives because of avalanches of ice blocks." Were wooried about being hit by small pieces of ice and were wearing helmets - was right decision. After reaching basecamp on 21st heavy snowfall began. Route is very steep, very technical and very dangerous. "A really good mountain, but dangerous" said Meutzner.
