On 18/05 Mohr and Mingote started a summit push for Everst and reached the bottom of the Lhotse Face, but Mingote was not feeling well and decided to abandon his Everest attempt. Fiamoncini had not joined that summit attempt as he needed another day to recover from his Lhotse attempt on 16/05. On 19/05 the Everest team started their second summit push. Fiamoncini and Mohr started from C4 at 8:30 pm. They were both without supplemental oxygen. When they reached 8300m, Fiamoncini put on oxygen as it was too hard without. Angeli had carried it for him. Mohr did not have a backup, but he did not need any. On his way up, Mohr felt tired, but always good. Mohr never had a headache and he was going slowly. They spent about 20 minutes on the summit and descended to C4, where they arrived 7 hours later. It was very hard as the fixed rope were buried in the snow. They reached C4 at 7 pm. On 24/05, they descended to C2 and 25/05 to BC. Everest and Lhotse teams left BC on 26/05 by foot. Oxygen: Taken and used by O2-using Everest and Lhotse members from C2 to summit to base of Lhotse and Sherpas from C3 to summit to base of Lhotse face. Piyali Basak turned back on 23 May from Balcony due to altitude sickness and was heli-rescued from C2. She had planned to summit Everest and Lhotse on consecutive days.
