Route Notes The summit party to Tilman's Dome [6500m] left C3 for the top at 8:30 am on 31 October and all reached the Dome at 12:30 pm. They were back in C3 at 2:30 pm and spent the night there. Non-summiting members: Bellier, Males and Poncin climbed to C2 on 28 October and stayed there that night. But on the 29th they turned around and descended to C1 because of their concern about the danger of avalanching. Poncin was particularly worried because his brother had been injured by an avalanche on Manaslu earlier in the month. Francois on 24 October went up to the site for C1, but immediately returned to ABC because some of his fingers had been frostbitten. Touchard descended with Francois to help him. They left the team on the 25th.
