| Route Notes | BC was 100m from Koreans at same altitude High point on North Face, well east of "Sickle". After 5 May much new snow and dangerous avalanching. Up to C2 14 May and slept there but next day snowing and tent a little broken so 15th May down to BC again and wait for good weather. But decided on 19th not to wait to longer. Small avalanche on 6 May 3:00 am did no damage but indicated danger. Followed same route as Korean team this spring. Salas and Barez to C1 only because too difficult and dangerous for novices. |
