Campsites BC(22/11,3800m),ABC(26/11,5400m),C1(04/12,5600m),xxx(16/12,6600m)
Route Notes BC on west side of Annapurna Glacier in Annapurna Sanctuary. BC lower than planned because 20 Nov 20 cm snow fell and porters could not go to planned site. Route used above C1 swept 3 times by avalanches (no one hurt). Was dangerous route but more direct to 6600m than previous Bulgarian route. Reached a camp site at 6600m but no camp established here. No camp below 6600m because no place to put a camp. On 16 Dec did not put camp here but fixed rope to this moving camp as they ascended with 2 biv (7500m and 7800m where there are places to camp). But after descent to BC after 16 Dec, more than one meter of new snow fell. Some members did go up to ABC and C1 only to clear these camps. With new snowfall much avalanching carried ropes away. Had fixed about 1200m rope from 5700m to 6600m.
