| Route Notes | BC at normal North Face site C1 at normal North Face site C2 at sites but never occupied (snowcave at normal site) High point on North Face. Planned to go to C3 on N Face and then decide whether to continue on French North Face route or go to NW Spur. On 5th April Hall and Atkinson reached site of C2 and began digging cave for camp, then down to BC for rest same day. 6th other 2 climbers went to C1, 7th to C2 site and worked some more on cave. C2 stores left in cave but it never occupied because on 7th Hall had accident and climb abandoned. "We were really going well on the mountain; we had no health problems & the weather was good." |
| Accidents | Hall and Atkinson during rest period were doing some photography and on 7th April at 11:30 am and Hall fell 10m |
