Route Notes Report from Jonathan Lamy: Approach: Trekking from Tatopani BC 31/03 4200m C1 03/04 5100m C2 04/04 5500m C3 13/04 6300m (lower C3) C4 15/04 6700m Smt 16/04 by Lamy, Iwata, both Sherpas. Lamy and Ang Chhongbi started from C4 at 8 pm on 15/04. On the summit at 8 am on 16/04. Clear views, good weather. Cold night climbing. Lamy felt too cold, so decided to use oxygen on last metres to the summit to avoid frostbite. They stayed on summit for 20-30 minutes. Back to C4 at 12 pm. At BC on 18/04. From BC by heli to Pokhara. Iwata and Chhepa started from C4 at 8 pm. Reached the summit around 10 am on 16/04. Back to C4 at 5 pm. Lamy with level 2 frostbite on big toe of right foot, Ang Chhongbi level 2 frostbite on big toe of left foot. Oxygen: Taken and used by Lamy from 8000m to summit and on the descent during the night in C3; by Ang Chhongbi from 7000m to summit and down to 7000m; by Iwata and Chhepa from C3 to summit and down to C3.
