Route Notes Report from Jill Wheatley: Approach: Heli to BC BC 22/03 4200m C1 25/03 5066m C2 27/03 5500m C3 13/04 6200m C4 6700m Smt 15/04 by Wheatley, Pemba Chhiring at 3:30 pm. On 28/03, the Sherpas tried to get to C3 but there was too much snow and a big crevasse. They came back to C2 where Wheatley and the rest of the team stayed. Wheatley was feeling very bad and had the feeling that she had pneumonia. The Sherpas were intending to move back up to C3 on 29/03, but the weather deteriorated, and they descended to BC. On 30/03, Wheatley flew to Pokhara to hospital where she stayed for one week, where she was put on antibiotics, steroids, and other medication to get rid of her pneumonia/chest infection/bronchitis. On 05/04 she flew back to Kathmandu and stayed there until 09/04 when she flew to Pokhara. On 10/04, they drove to Dana and from there to BC. On 11/04, she ascended to C1; on 12/04 to C2; on 13/04 to C3. On 14/04, they left for C3 for the summit at 7 pm. They summited at 3:30 pm and spent about 10 minutes on the summit and descended to C4, where they had a short rest and then continued to C3 on 16/04. On 16/04, she was picked up by helicopter from C3 and flown to CIWEC in Kathmandu, where she spent another few days.
