| Route Notes | BC 29/03 C1 06/04 5000m C2 07/04 5500m C3 11/05 6500m C4 12/05 7100m Hpt 13/05 7350m by Vajpai Vajpai reached C5 site together with Mario Casanova (SST) on 13/05. He was on his summit push, however, the winds were too strong (about 50km/h) to continue. On 14/05, he descended to BC, which took him about 14 hours. On 12/05 Vajpai took a fall between C3 and C4 when an anchor came out. He fell about 50m and hit a few people on the way down; however, nobody was seriously injured and they all continued. During the expedition, Vajpai got a helicopter ride with the Chinese team of Dolma Outdoor. He stayed a few nights in Pokhara, one night in Kathmandu and then went back to Delhi for three nights. He returned to Annapurna BC after about one week. Rajesh Magar reached C4 on 12/05. He had a problem with his hamstrings and descended to following day. Climb abandoned on 13/05 due to high winds. Oxygen: Used from C4 sleeping and down to C3. |
