| Route Notes | Summit team set off for summit on 30 April at 10:00 pm. It was windy, cold and cloudy. Pema Tshering and some Sherpas from Seven Summit Treks were fixing the ropes. The ropes were exhausted below the Couloir (about 7800m) and the climbers resorted to roping up. Snow was soft and sugary in the couloir. Team reached summit at 10:30 am, and spent less than 10 minutes as it was very cold. On descent they reached C4 at about 1 pm. The following day the team descended to BC, apart from Du Puy and Pema Tshering who stayed at C1 for another night. Other teams who summited were Kim Mi-Gon from Korea, Luo Jing and Norbu Sherpa, Carlos Soria's team, Atanas Skatov, Nadav, Klein, Kobusch and Mario Vielmo. Fixed rope: 3000m together with Seven Summit Treks Sherpas to 7800m. Oxygen: From C4 to summit to just above C4. The entire team went to Dhaulagiri I after the expedition. |
