| Route Notes | Quintero and Pema started their summit bid from BC to C2 on 14 May. When they reached at 6000m on 15 May Quintero suffered from knee pain and went down to BC same day. BC was covered with two meters of snow. Snowfall remained on 14, 15th and 16 May. Weather was good. Quintero returned to Kathmandu on 17 May by helicopter. German route (1980) leads a bit east of the Dutch Rib and then directly to Central Summit. Fixed rope: 50m between C2 & C3. Sherpa: Pema Dorje, 17/10/74 (1/7/2031), Waku-9 |
