| Route Notes | BC was "quite low" ABC at normal site he assumes. Route used was same as Koreans and Indians. Nearly hit by couple of rocks falling when he was climbing in afternoon, too late for safety. Most avalanching was right of route that he, Koreans and Indians (10:30 am) used because filming. Good weather but at top slight snowfall started and got heavier and white-out developed before reached C3 and Indians tracks covered and no ropes available. Roped up with Phu Nurbu for lower half of route till some clearing of visability. Back to C3 4:00-5:00 pm. 7 May down to below ABC, where started getting dark and had to biv at 6:30 pm (1 hour above BC) on ledge. Finally at BC on 8 May. Indians had stripped mountain of their camps and all fixed ropes. |
