Route Notes After a traverse of Tsergo Ri (up SW face, down N ridge), team attempted Kimshung. After 3 days of approach from Kyanjin village, the team climbed up the east flank of the South Ridge to a notch below the summit pinnacle. Following loose rock section stopped any progress so the two had to go down, reaching Kyanjin village the same day. 15.04.2016: established BC at a little lake between Urkinmang and Ganchempo, north of Tilman's Pass. 17.04.2016: left at 1 am, attacking the NNE Face at 4850m. After a broad couloir with two short rock sections, at 5600m the face steepened to 75°, then the team reached the NE Ridge at 5900m, following it to the top. Went down by the W ridge/face, with a tricky 250m loose rock needing one abseil and lots of zigzaging.
