Route Notes BC between Pt 5087m on Dhaulagiri map 2 ridge to east of it. C1 on ridge that ends just east of Pt 5087m C2 on NE Ridge before East Ridge of Pt 6839m. After occupied C1, on 26th went on to deposit loads at C2 site but did not pitch tent because winds made that impossible and was snowing so down to BC. 28th summit party BC to C2 directly that day. On 29th to summit 6839m on map. Did not go to main summit because too far, too dangerous from wind and slab avalanche possibility; returned to BC same day. Left BC 30 Oct to join a group that had gone to Mustang; met in Jomsom.
Accidents Querlier altitude sickness during climb to C1; Barbier altitude sickness on return trek from BC (had been to C2)
