Route Notes Liaison Officer report on autumn 1982 Tukuche TBC 14 Oct 4000m BC 16 Oct 4700m C1 18 OCt 5500m Bad weather (snowfall) forced abandonment 20 Oct. Returned to Marpha 24 Oct and to KTM 29 Oct. No accidents. Tukuche from Leader's report to MFA Maximum altitude 5800m 6 Nepalese above BC Return to KTM 29 Oct Tek Bahadur Thapa, LO Sharma, Tourism - 1 Nov 82 Tukuche northwest side abandoned 21 Oct after reaching 5500m because of heavy snowfall. Vizies, GHA - 31 Oct 82 Route as planned. Reached C1 as planned and then had to give up because of deeps snow which could have caught them behind impassable Col. No accidents, no frostbite. 2 Sherpas above BC. Then went to Dhampus Peak which all members and 2 Sherpas successfully climbed. Bodson - 3 Oct 82 Terres D'Adventure Expedition to Tukuche. Leave 4 Oct by bus to Pokhara and 10-12 days to BC. Indirect way from Tukuche village across Dambush Pass to northwest of mountain. Route up NW Ridge of Tukuche on North Face BC 4800m on north-northwest of mountain ABC 5200m 2 camps above ABC, C2 at 6200m 3 Sherpas above BC. Medical oxygen only 9 arrived today and leader arrive tomorrow and goes to Pokhara same day.
