Route Notes After an independent acclimatization time (in Mustang, then Thorong La), the 4 members met with their Nepali team (9 porters, 1 cook with 2 assistants, 1 mountain guide and his assistant) and reached their base camp after three bivouacs (at 4850m, 4900m, then 5150m), the second one due to the unexpected departure of 7 porters because of the bad weather conditions. Eventually on 26 Apr the team established its C1 at 5600m, then had to wait 40 hours there because of wind storm (unfortunately). So, due to this mandatory stop, it was not possible to move from C1 to C2 (as initially planned). On 28 Apr, when the wind suddenly decreased around 1 am, the team decided to leave at 1:50 am for a single push to the summit. But the wind came back and stopped the team at 6600m. The same day they returned to C1, took off all the gear there (the tents were almost beginning to collapse under 120 km/h winds), then came back down with heavy bags to BC. The 4 team members and Sherpas arrived in Marpha on 30 Apr. The Sherpas stayed on Tukuche Base camp and didn't come with the 4 team members. The 4 team members had brought 2 tents, food and equipment to climb Tukuche. Fixed rope: One small fixed rope around 6550m.
