| Route Notes | BC at 4700m at Dhaulagiri BC High pont at 6850m at Tukuche II. On 3 Oct Belik, Hofmannova, Matousek and Novakova left C2 at 7:30 am for the main summit. Climbing was difficult because of ice snow. The team reached top of Tukuche II 6850m at 3:20 pm, but to go to main Tukuche Peak, they have to go down and climb again. Since there was not enough time to go to main peak and return, the team decided to give up the attempt on main peak, and descended to C2 and next day to BC. The expedition plan was to attempt Dhaulagiri I as the main expedition and Tukuche as acclimatization peak. Kolar and Churav slept in C2 on 2 Oct. They were exhausted and did not climb further. The team returned to Kathmandu on 16 Oct and will leave on 19 Oct. |
