Route Notes Summit team left C2 at 7 am and stayed about 20 minutes on the top. The weather was good. They got back to C2 at 5 pm. Aragon got to 6000m but abandoned climb due to mild AMS. Fernandez did not get beyond BC as he felt altitude but stayed at BC through out climb. Garcia Calvo got to C2 but did not carry on due to fatigue. Salcedo got to C2 - mild AMS. Sanchez Gonzalez stayed at BC; no ambition to climb. Yague got to 6000m but turned around with Aragon. Main Summit Disputed: After I met the Spanish team I spoke to the Japanese and Dutch teams that were also on the mountain. They told me that climbing the main summit was impossible. The Dutch and Japanese teams climbed the West Peak and not the main summit. The main summit was impossible to reach due to huge crevasses.
