Route Notes Neefjes and Wagenaar did not get above 6000m as they were too slow and Wagennar had problems acclimatising. Mingma Dukpa Sherpa set up C1 and climbed to 6600m (junction point) from where he could see huge crevasses below the main summit. He told Wagennar that climbing the main summit would be impossible. He did not think that the Spanish team, led by Sanchez Gonzalez, could have climbed the main summit. Moti Lal Gurung got as far as C1 but did not sleep there. Due to bad weather the team was stuck in Jomsom for 5 days. They took a helicopter to Pokhara on 24 Oct.
