Route Notes BC 29/09 4700m Biv 30/09 5600m Smt 01/10 by 3 Nepalese Nepali expedition to Tobsar, summiters/members: Narendra Shahi Iman Gurung Samir Gurung Climbed the 6056m subpeak (Rolmi) lying southwest of main summit (6065m) on route to main summit (6065m). Moderate difficulties, but climb a bit exposed on the long glacier (objective dangers in icefall). Some parts technical in the glacier (5200m, 5700m, 5800m), 2 times up and down, but not on the final ridge (lots of loose rock, no fixed ropes there). Climbed in alpine style. Started at 5 am, summited at 2:20 pm, and back to 7:30 pm. In 2016, Sonam Gurung (from Trinetra Adventure) explored the area for future clients trips, but was stopped at 5600m by bad weather on the same W glacier approach. Team left BC on 2 Oct. Route: Up glacier S of Tobsar to Pt 6056m to S Ridge of Tobsar to summit. Oxygen: Not taken, not used.
