| Route Notes | Fomin and Balabanov arrived at base camp in Oktang on 28 Sept. They spent two weeks acclimatizing by first climbing Boktoh Peak and then the normal route on Talung to (NW Face-W Face) to 7100m On 18 Oct they started their climb from the base of the NNW Pillar at 5600m. They made a series of 5 bivouacs at 5850m, 6050m, 6200m, 6600m and 6900m and finally summited on 23 Oct at 2 pm. They descended down to the col between Talung and Kabru and then down to west side making one bivouac at 6700m. |
