Route Notes In the Ministry's debriefing Elias wrote that they climbed the wall but did not go to summit due to bad weather. Explorers web.com dispatch on Jan 5, 2009 wrote that Barrientos, Cordova and Gallego climbed up an ice ramp (70/90 degrees) to the saddle between Tengkangpoche's and Ramdang's summits, opening a new 2300m-long route on the North Face of Tengkangboche. The climbers turned back only meters away from the summit ridge, due to bad ice conditions. The team returned to Kathmandu on 16 Nov and left on 20 Nov.
