| Route Notes | BC at south side of Thami Khola opposite Thengpo village. Started up from BC in series of bivouacs: 23 April to 4750m; 25 April to BC; 27th to 4800m; 29th to 4930m. Bad snowfall on 28th afternoon to 2nd May, where reached 4950m. 3rd May avalanche now but up to 5000m. 4th May down to 4950m. 5th May up again to 5050m. 7th May to 5100m where Nagoshi hit by avalanche, fell over backwards and fell 20m and stopped by Matsushimo's belay; down to 5050m. The entire NE Face very dangerous because of avalanching. 8th May to BC. Would like to climb this face in good weather. |
