Route Notes The two members team began their attempt on the mountain by leaving BC at 4:10 am on 31 October to scale the 80-degree wall of ice that was the North Face. At 6:00 pm as it was getting dark they reached the 6100m high col where the face met the summit ridge and decided to go down rather than bivouac there. They rappelled from 5400m down the face to 5200m and walked from there to BC, which they reached at 11:00 pm. They were very tired and dehydrated. They slept at BC until 9:00 am and left it at 12:00 noon on 1 November.
