Route Notes BC at near the lake C1 on the west ridge. The team got permit for Yakawa Kang, but its intention was to climb Tawa (6110m). Iga, Matsushima, Murakami, Nakai, Sato, Uchida, Kami Sherpa, Lhakpa Sherpa, Kaji Sherpa and Gyalzen Sherpa left C1 at 5:45 am, reached at 5970m at 9:23 am. It was not possible for the team to continue farther up because of waist-deep snow. They descended to C1 at 11:20 am and BC at 1:13 pm. Hamamura, Kawasaki and Tominaga remained at BC. They had headache. Akihata, Koga, Okano, Saito, Satoo and Tanaka returned to Muktinath from about 5000m. They did not reach BC; they had headaches. The team returned to Kathmandu at 5 am on 23 Aug and will leave same day for Japan. Tawa Peak is north-northwest of Yakawa Kang.
Accidents Ishihara blood supply to brain got problem while flying to Kathmandu by helicopter on 22 Aug
