Route Notes High point at SW Ridge of Tashi Kang. From ABC up glacier to SE Face of SW Ridge on 30 Oct to 80m below summit of Tashi Kang. Ridge corniced so had to go over onto its north side of which was avalanche prone, so back to ABC. All members except Baumann, Ewender, Richter, Milde and Surholt reached Tashi Kang high point. Spent 31st in ABC, then on 1 Nov left on trek to Jomsom via Dhampus Pass. Made no attempt on Tsartse because the approach to Tsartse is via summit of Tashi Kang and connecting ridge between them. Had deadline of Nov to return to Jomsom for 3rd Nov flight from Jomsom to Pokhara and then Kathmandu. Baumann did not go far above ABC; Ewender stayed in ABC (not acclimatizing); Richter turned back at 6000m because climbing too slowly and Milde went back to ABC with her (his girlfriend); Pudritz also only to 6000m because too slow.
