Route Notes Note: This team thought they were climbing Glacier Dome, but were actually climbing the 7069m peak east of Glacier Dome (now called Tarke Kang II). BC at glacier between North Ridge of Glacier Dome and Gangapurna C1 on east side of North Ridge C2 at North Face. On 22 Oct summit bid by 4 members, but at 7000m 2 had altitude problem and turned back (the 2 Austrians Kern and Hron) while others continued to top at 14:30 hours (had left C2 at 8:00 am and returned to C2 at 11:00 hours). Austrians descended to C1. 25 Oct Markovsky and Ang Phurba from BC to C2, 26th tried for top but tired and also turned back at 7000m. Not difficult technically and snow conditions were good.
