Route Notes Note: This team thought they were climbing Glacier Dome, but were actually climbing the 7069m peak east of Glacier Dome (now called Tarke Kang II). Lower BC 2 hours from water source so moved from C1 to C2 very long (4 hrs) and difficult; many crevasses and dangerous (route on fall and avalanches). C3 to top very long but not so difficult. Two summit bids: 8th Sept by Baek, Yoon and Sherpas Sarki and Ang Dawa; Yoon altitude sickness, got very tired; turned back at 6800m. 10th Sept 2nd bid from C3 by Baek and same Sherpas; started 3:40 am and reached 12:40 pm and down to C3 4:40 pm and C2 6:00 pm. Climbed quickly because had to return to work. Lee left KTM yesterday having gone quickly ahead on return march and to studies. Very lucky with weather: heavy snowfall on 11th Sept. Left BC 12th Sept arrived KTM 18th Sept.
Accidents Yoon altitude sickness at 6800m
