Route Notes Note: This team thought they were climbing Glacier Dome, but were actually climbing the 7069m peak east of Glacier Dome (now called Tarke Kang II). BC a little below glacier north of face. Had only 16 days BC to summit and back to BC because of members holidays. Thus only 4 days available from last camp to top and 3 of these days had snowfall depositing 2m snow on this camp. Muller could have gone to top on 8th but expedition was to put others on top. Not a difficult climb no problems with route. Only weather and time. Big avalanche near summit: 1 small avalanche near C3 which destroyed 2 tents but had snow cave.
