Route Notes Trek from Charang 16/04 Damodakunder 22/04 Base Camp 25/04 5400m at Itiya Khola just below glacier Summit 28/04 by Drexler, Lawang Tamang at 8:30 am. Drexler and Lawang started from BC on 3 am. They crossed a moraine at the beginning to the foot of the NE Ridge. The lower part is a rock wall that required some scrambling for one hour until they reached some loose scree that turned into a snow slope of about 35 degrees. At about 6000m they put on their crampons. Perfect conditions. They did not use a rope for the entire climb. Technically surprisingly easy. Weather perfect. On the summit, the view was amazing. They descended to BC, where they arrived at 11:20 am. Bartmann reached 5700m on 26/04 on the recce tour. She did not feel well enough to climb the mountain and decided not to attempt. Trek from Damodakunder via Saribung Pass to Phu. From Phu they walked towards west to the remote village and crossed the Phu Pass (5050m) that drops into Nar. The way is sign-posted. Then over Nar Pass (5400m) – amazing view – to Nar. Oxygen: Not taken, not used. Hired: Lawang Lama Tamang, Rasuwa, 28/03/1978
