Route Notes BC 01 Nov 4200m C1 03 Nov 4900m HPt 04 Nov 5800m (C2) by Ernst Marti, Werner Marti Marti had already been to Saipal in 2011 and knew the route. They wanted to skip the traditional C2 and were intending to set up their C2 at 5800m. When they reached it on 4 Nov, they noticed that they would need fixed ropes for further up and descended to BC to get them. They climbed back to C2 on 6 Nov with the rope; however, the weather turned bad and they descended to BC again the same day without having fixed any rope. They were never able to get back to C2 due to the masses of snow that had fallen; however, they reached C1 again to get their gear down. Oxygen: Not taken, not used
