Route Notes Approach: Besisahar->Khare->Chame->Koto->Meta->Phu->South BC on 30 April at 5050m. BC 01/05 5100m ABC 02/05 5400m (deposit) C1 05/05 5800m Hpt 12/05 5960m by Misek, Hradil and Belik. Climb abandoned on 13 May due to bad weather and waist-deep snow. Left BC on 16 May. Cejp and Strakova left on 4 May. Route wanted to try from eastern ridge. The team while looking for the climbing route on the western side of the mountain that was not visible enough to chose as it was all time foggy and what they could see was the difficult part of climbing to reach the western ridge. Then they decided to explore the route from the eastern side. So on 10 May three members Misek, Hradil and Belik continued towards eastern side and moved C1 to 5800m. On 11 May they went further east ward and spent night more or less same altitude of C1. On 13 May they found it is difficult to continue on that side due to waist deep fresh and wet snow and decided to call off the climb and went down to BC. Weather was foggy most of the time while they were trying to reach the eastern ridge. Matousek suffered from severe toothache resulting swollen face; he was under antibiotic and same was the case with Sedlarik. Novakova herself suffered from headache. Cejp and Strakova suffered from HAS with headache and vomit. Suk too suffered from HAS, but did want to climb.
