Route Notes BC at Pangpema ABC at Jonsang Glacier C1 on West Ridge C2 on West Ridge C3 on West Ridge. After C3 occupied, winds came up and temp dropped. On 22nd tried to go up from C3 but wind and cold drove them down to ABC same day. Now clouds coming in and decided on 24h that climb was finished. Just a walk from BC to ABC; not technically difficult on ridge but from 6650m they would have begun rock and steep ice.
Accidents Welch cerebral edema which improved when escorted down; porter serious pulmonary edema on march out
