Sunny and nearly no wind Which camp did you sleep at on your way down and at what time did you arrive there? BC 7 pm What about the other members? Did they also summit and if not how high did they get (please name them individually) and why did they abandon the climb? Doris Sieber and Helga Behringer went to 7000m on 14.10 but they were to slow to reach the summit and turned back. Almut and Guenther Simon, Christian and Margit Merz reached C3 on 13.10. Even though he was the strongest climber in the group, Christian Merz was not feeling well that day and decided to quit the expedition. His wife Margit never really intended to go to the summit. Guenther Simon was feeling altitude sick and turned back. His wife could have made the summit but stayed with him. Bernhard Schmid left BC on 7/10/10. It was the first expedition for him and he found it very hard mentally. He was too homesick to carry on and took helicopter from Karkot back to Kathmandu. Did you fix any rope yourself? No Did you have any Sherpas with you? If yes, can you give me their names and maybe the village they are from. And have your Sherpas summitted any 8000m peaks before this expedition? If you know, maybe you could give me the year as well. Pemba (Everest 2 times), Lower Lukla Sonam Jangbu, Lower Lukla (I will find out more about them) Which route did you climb? NW regular Did you use oxygen? No Did you take medical oxygen? Yes Any accidents or injuries? Height altitude sickness: Guenther Simon, flew out from BC by heli after return from C3 on the 16/10/10.
