| Route Notes | ABC above Gorak Shep C1 on SE Face High point at C1. Weather was "far too warm" and caused seracs to fall. One big serac fall came very close to hitting Bunting and Doyle at C1. C1 reached by Martin and Bremner on 2 Oct but didn't sleep there; next day Jenns, Doyle and Bunting up to pitch camp and Doyle and Bunting slept there. After and evening of 3rd constant serac fall and on 4th waited few hours then decided danger too great with continued serac fall and went down and climb abandoned. Watched face for few more days and saw more serac fall. |
