Route Notes BC at left side of big lake 1st C1 at col on S Ridge 2nd C1 on SE Face C2 on SE Face. 10 days at research laboratory at Lobuche. Then attempted to climb S Ridge from SE via snow field above lake. Reached 6500m and then gave up this route because of deep snow and avalanche 10th Oct. Down to BC. Changed route to SE Face. 7 hrs from C2 to summit and return to C2 in very cold strong wind. From C2 at 3:00 am, on top 8:00 am and again in C2 10:00 am and BC 2:00 pm. Difficult climb in C2 area because wind cold.
Accidents 3 men some frostbitten toes that will be OK
