Route Notes BC 19/03 5050m at Pyramid (Italian research station) C1 30/03 5700m C2 01/04 6200m HPt 02/04 6600m by Hamor, Sabovcik and Gabriz. First climbed Island Peak before going to Pumori. On Pumori, the route from C1 is mixed climbing until they reached a snow and ice field, where they set up C2. They left C2 at around 6 pm. They climbed for about 8 hours, but the weather was bad and conditions were too dangerous. A lot of rock fall and according to Hamor it was like a mud climb. They turned back at about 2 pm. They returned to C2, where they arrived at 4 pm. Stayed the night. Petrik reached C2 and he did not join the others on the summit push as he thought the conditions were too dangerous. Too many falling rocks. On 3 April, they returned to the Pyramid.
